Doors, release event (2020)
2020 was a strange year for putting things out into the world. The normal conventions were on hold, and socializing was difficult - but one of the beautiful things about breaking all the normal ways we come together, is that we can come up with new ways.
On September 16th, 2020 I co-opted a mostly-unused corner of Charleson Park, on the banks of False Creek and held a phsyically-distanced listening party for the release of Doors that were closed, open. Timed to coincide with the sunset, the album was presented from 7:06 to 7:20pm, and the occasion was also marked by a muddy haze in the air from the forest fires in California, Oregon, and Washington.
